The Beringer Thumb Brake allows you to activate the rear brake using the Thumb on the left side bar. As you push the Thumb Lever the roller bearing turns giving more feel and higher performance. More control when braking with the rear Brake. A popular choice for stunt riders and can be a very useful aid for a rider with disabilities especially where using a conventional rear brake pedal maybe impractical
The BTBS works with most OEM rear brake master cylinders, but Beringer recommends using its floating-master with special, nonreversible piston cup seals.
Beringer's floating rear master cylinder features special piston cups that allow it to send hydraulic pressure to the rear caliper but also to receive pressure on the inlet side, from a Thumb Brake and send that hydraulic pressure out to the rear caliper.
Upper mount to the frame needs to be fabricated on many bikes but "L" bracket made for ATV applications sometimes work on some sport bikes.
